-Glendale Fire Department Awards Luncheon is on Wednesday Oct 3rd; He needs recommendations for a non Rotarian for the "Service Above Self" award. Requirements for the award 1) Non Ratarian 2) Community Involved 3) Available Oct 3rd to accept reward, but do not tell them. Invited members to join the committee meeting after our meeting today.
Alex Parajon:
-Glendale Cruise Night on Saturday July 21 from 5:30 - 10pm
-Walk for Water fundraiser for Aid Africa on Saturday Sept 15th. We need members to join the committee to help plan this event.
-District Breakfast on Tuesday August 14th from 7am - 9am at the LAX Westin

Glendale Sunrise Rotary Club Assembly:
This is when our members get together to discuss the status of the club. What’s going on, what do we have for funds, upcoming events, etc. President Peggy led the club assembly today and first thanks all board members and non members. She was very thankful on how amazing our club is and she wanted to present to us the amazing plans our members have this coming year.
Club Service: Cody Smith
Goal to maintain the great job Tri Fritz did this past rotary year. He will Support services and participate or help any committee
Fellowship: Tri Fritz:
- He would like to Host a club event every month
- 1st event scheduled happy hour is on Aug 9th
- Planning a Rotary day at Santa Anita
- He would like all members to share with him any great new spots we can all have a great time.
- He told everyone "Welcome Aboard" this fun fellowship year.
Programs: Mike Shaar
- The club has had great reputation of good programs and his goal is to continue having great programs for us to enjoy.
- Please send Mike any possible guest speakers you might have connections with.

- She brought a visitor that will join our club Justin from the Salvation Army
- Goal each of us to invite one person which will = to approx 50+ new guest this year.

- His goal for every member in our club to contribute $100
- Talked about how Foundation funds helps rotary locally and globally.
International: Peggy on behalf of Jewel Price
- Participation in Aid Africa and get this great event going - Date Sept 15th.
- Wants people to attend humanitarian trip in Peru
- Been talking to John was a past president of our club and he will be here to discuss about the joint venture with his new club and our club for a 3 day cruise to the orphanage.
Youth: Mindy Stackpoole

Community: Angelo
- He will come up with some great ideas
- Anyone knows anything let him know
- He would like to do something with Habitat for Humanity
Vocational: Les Vincent
- He has a few good ideas and lots of bad (as a joke)
- Will like to setup a committee, he will pass out a sign up sheet and contact him if interested
- He would like to do a fun Business tour of any of our members, so any ideas please share with him.

Treasurer: David Smith
- Budget will be reviewed another time frame in Aug.
- Billing coming soon and there are some back billing that needs to be done so we can be caught up
- We is working with Cody and a committee to look at meal options and our dues that have not been increased since 15 years ago.
Peggy recognized the following members:
- Nina Crowe because of what she did last year and just appreciate her hard work and help
- Anita Wallace, Keith Sorem and Nina Crowe for getting Peggy acclimated for her year as president
- Alex Parajon for his involvement and creating the Rotary Minute and meeting express
- Keith Sorem: For field of Honor in chairing this important event/fundraiser
- Tom Propst for been a great part of helping Peggy
- Eric Hamilton: We appreciate him for all he has done with our club and field of honor
- Zaven Kazazian for the amazing work on the firemen luncheon

Next week meeting special guest will be our District 5280 Governor Joe Vazquez, he will be speaking to us about "Why Rotary" and will be inspiring us!
