Family Promise of the Verdugos

Albert Hernandez works at Family Promise of the Verdugos where he has served as Executive Director for four years. Hernandez has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 17 years most notably with Boys & Girls Clubs around Southern California. He is active in the communities of Burbank, Glendale and in his new hometown of Glendora and serves on various boards including Leadership Burbank, Glendale Latino Association and Burbank Noon Rotary where he served as Club President in 2018-2019. He is most proud of his time at Family Promise where along with his team they’ve helped many homeless families move back into housing through their unique program. Under Hernandez’s leadership Family Promise received the 2016 Non-Profit of the Year award from the 25th Senate District.  In 2017, Albert was named one of 30 Top Visionary Leaders by the Southern California Leadership Network and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.

Having been brought up in a family of 11 brothers and sisters with a single mom has given him the strength and motivation each day to help individuals who are at-risk.
