JULY WAS A SUCCESS!
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
As we conclude our first month together, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible dedication and effort each of you has shown. Thank you for welcoming me with lots of enthusiasm and "fun and fuzzy" gifts. It has been an inspiring start, and our collective accomplishments already reflect the core values of our club: service and fellowship.
Key Accomplishments this month!
1. We successfully completed two community service projects, the CV Fireworks Association 4th of July event, where we had 6-7 Rotarians come out and support the event. Our second project we had several of you participate in the Face of Fremont School beautification.
2. We successfully passed our club budget and have approved more than 10 community service projects to support this coming year. We thank you for all your efforts and our GSR Foundation for the funding they are providing for us to actualize these projects.
3. Our Club Administration has been hard at work organizing great speaker opportunities for the club and a few field trips that are coming up for the year!
Oh, and get ready for the GSR Craft Talk Show, hosted by our very own President, Melina Sardar.
4. We are working hard organizing fellowship and
vocational events.
On Thursday, August 29th at 5:30pm our member Ray Rangwala, is going to host us at his place of business Esteem Cleaners and we are going to learn a thing or two about how the Cleaners business is run and operated. Thank you, Ray!
5. Membership Growth
We are in the process of meeting new potential members and bringing them on board! Our Membership committee has a goal to attract 15 new members this year! We know this is an ambitious goal, but we are ready for the challenge and sharing the magic of Rotary! This growth will not only strengthen our club but also enrich our community impact.
Lastly, we hosted a successful Joint District Governor Visit with the Glendale Noon and Northeast LA Rotary Clubs at the Chevy Chase Country club with over 60 Rotarians present! We were all inspired by DG Albert's speech and are excited to actualize his goals that he has for the district this year! Yes, Albert, "Teamwork makes the Dream Work". We are also happy to be able to offer a gift of $500 to The Rotary Foundation in Honor of our District Governor, Albert Hernandez.
These achievements are just the beginning. Our journey ahead is filled with opportunities to serve and create lasting change. I encourage each of you to stay engaged, continue contributing your ideas, and support one another as we strive to fulfill our mission.
Thank you for your hard work and unwavering commitment. Together, we will continue to achieve great things.
Yours in Service,
Melina Sardar
Club President
