President Elect Alex Parajon managed the meeting so he had no time to get proper notes but hopefully the short notes below will inspire you to read this meeting express newsletter.
 
We had a great program today and you will read below all of the cliff notes:

-Glendale Cruise Night on Saturday July 21 from 5:30 - 10pm
-District Breakfast on Tuesday August 14th from 7am - 9am at the LAX Westin

Keith Sorem:
-Field of Honor critic meeting in August, goal is to make this a signature project/fundraiser and get the ball rolling for 2019 Memorial day festivities

-Fellowship event at Town Kitchen and Grill on Thursday Aug 9th at 6pm. 
 
Irene Keller
-Walk for Water fundraiser for Aid Africa on Saturday Sept 15th.
 
Zaven Kazazian
-Glendale Fire Department Awards Luncheon is on Wednesday Oct 3rd;  He needs recommendations for a non Rotarian for the "Service Above Self" award.  Requirements for the award 1) Non Ratarian 2) Community Involved 3) Available Oct 3rd to accept reward, but do not tell them.
 
Ray Rangwala:
3 Amigos Orphanage next trip Aug 11-12 and a cruise trip Oct 12- 14;  more info posted on our event page.
Orphanage Needs the following Items:
-Playground equipment, bed sheets, spreads, blankets, pillows and towels..
We will plan a collection day to drop off items
 
Fines:
 
Several members paid a fine and shared great stories, sorry but I didn't get all the details during the meeting.
 
Other:
President asked all members a Trivia question:   When was Glendale Sunrise Rotary Chartered, in celebration of our 30th year Anniversary..
After many great guess - Tri Fritz won the "be the Inspiration" pin award for guessing correctly.       Answer:  Twenty fifth day of August 1998.
 
 
 
Program:
 
Mike Shaar our program Chair introduced Deanna Armbruster from the Wildlife Way Station and she shared with us the amazing wild life of over 400 animals and she had great stories about her work, plus also shared her personal connection with Rotary.  Video will be on Facebook soon compliments of Phil Kubel.

President Elect Alex made a short video to send to Eric Hamilton to lift his spirits today to let him know we are all thinking about him and his recovery.  Everyone in attendance said on the video "Get well Eric, comback soon we miss you. 
 
 
-No one won the opportunity drawing so value keeps increasing.
 
 
Next week meeting we will our Club Assembly and our President Peggy will be facilitating it as we share the amazing year our club will have.
 
 
Any members interested in taking notes next week and give Alex Parajon the cliff notes please volunteer because I can't run the meeting and do this at the same time next week.
