Apr. 09, 2019 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9th, we will be having our regular committee meeting. The only report I have received as of 4:30pm is from Phil, so this means we should have a very productive meeting. Our main focus is to discuss the details of the program for the Club Meeting to be held at Forest Lawn on Friday, April 12th. The purpose of holding the meeting at Forest Lawn is to be the Rotarians excited about the Field of Honor and Graititude Project, continue to talk wit potential sponsors, and become further engaged.
Attached is the draft of the program for this very important club meeting, so pelase review and be prepared to discuss your ideas. Thanks again to Tri Fritz for hosting this event.
Rotary regards, Keith |

WHAT HAPPENS AT RYLA?Each spring, between 180 and 200 high school students from the Greater Los Angeles area, (Rotary International District 5280) meet for 2 ½ days to improve their skills as leaders in their communities. Students participate in experiential learning activities, including active leadership workshops, team building activities, and a RYLA Olympics and talent show. Set high in the San Bernardino Mountains, the camp is breathtaking and completely private, giving the students a peaceful environment in which to learn more about themselves, and their peers.
HOW DO I ATTEND RYLA?If you are a high school freshman, sophomore, or junior passionate about leadership, service, and Rotary, RYLA is for you! Each Rotary Club is assigned a RYLA Liaison responsible for facilitating the signup process. Contact your Interact Club Leadership, or Rotary Club to sign up to attend RYLA!
LocationDistrict 5280's RYLA is located at the Alpine Camp and Conference Center in the San Bernardino Mountains. Immersed in nature, this camp provides the perfect location for self reflection and an incredible learning experience. RYLA takes place in April, but it does get cold at night. Pack for rain and shine! |
